1. Provider and scope

Kardix is provided by Maotaw. These terms apply when you access or use the website, generator, tools, or educational material. Mandatory statutory rights, especially consumer rights, remain unaffected.

2. Service description

Kardix is a browser-based deterministic credential generator. The same supported inputs, settings, and generator version are intended to reproduce the same output. Kardix is not an online password vault, identity provider, authentication service, or account-recovery provider.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for protecting and accurately remembering your inputs, using unique labels, checking each third-party service’s password rules, maintaining independent recovery methods, and securing your device. Before relying on a generated credential, test that you can reproduce it using invented or non-critical data.

4. Generator versions and compatibility

Changes to algorithms, normalization, character sets, settings, or formatting may produce different outputs. A third-party website may also change its password rules. Keep a record of the generator version and settings you used. Kardix cannot recover forgotten inputs.

5. Availability and changes

The website may be changed, suspended, restricted, or discontinued. Maintenance, hosting failures, security incidents, browser changes, or third-party dependencies may affect availability. There is no guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely.

6. No security guarantee

No credential method can eliminate all risk. A strong output may still be exposed through phishing, malware, reused inputs, compromised devices, malicious extensions, data breaches, or weak account recovery. Kardix does not guarantee that generated credentials will be accepted by every service or be immune to compromise.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Kardix unlawfully; attempt unauthorized access; disrupt or overload the service; distribute malware; bypass security controls; scrape the website in a harmful manner; impersonate another person; or infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other third-party rights.

8. Intellectual property

The Kardix name, website design, original text, and original software are protected to the extent provided by law. These terms do not transfer ownership rights. Ordinary personal use of the public website is permitted, but copying, republishing, reselling, or presenting substantial parts as your own may require prior permission.

9. External links and third-party services

The website may link to third-party services or display third-party advertising. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Kardix does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or business practices.

10. Liability

Liability is governed by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or mandatory product-liability obligations. To the extent legally permitted, Kardix is not liable for losses resulting from forgotten or mistyped inputs, compromised devices, third-party services, unsupported password rules, failure to maintain recovery options, or use contrary to these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or security practices. The version published on this page applies from its stated update date.

12. Applicable law

German law applies where legally permitted. Mandatory consumer-protection rules and any legally required place of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
